Amid continuous rainfall, waterlogging, traffic congestion, and disruptions in public movement, the appearance of a real-life Spider-Man on the streets surprised many residents.
The young man, identified as Shadab, wore a red and blue Spider-Man costume and stepped into flooded streets to support commuters. He helped manage traffic, attempted to clear pathways, and assisted people affected by waterlogging.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. The footage shows vehicles moving slowly through rainwater-filled roads while Shadab, dressed as Spider-Man, regulates traffic, tries to improve road conditions, and encourages pedestrians.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Shadab said that despite waterlogging in the area, the Municipal Corporation team had not reached the location. After seeing people struggling, he decided to step forward and provide assistance himself.
The video shows Shadab not only managing traffic but also interacting with residents, shaking hands with people, giving high-fives to children, and motivating them with a smile. His actions have attracted appreciation from social media users, many of whom described him as a real-life Spider-Man.
One user wrote that the real Spider-Man was the person helping people on the streets, while another said that helping others without expecting anything in return was the greatest superpower. Some users humorously referred to the act as “Spider-Man: India Chapter.”
Continuous rainfall across Maharashtra has created waterlogging conditions in several areas, affecting daily life and transportation. At a time when residents are facing difficulties due to weather-related challenges, Shadab’s initiative has become a topic of discussion.
